Storing Pesticides

Store pesticides in their original containers in a clean, locked room away from machinery and fertilisers.

Mixing Pesticides

Wear protective clothing while mixing pesticides. Keep the pesticide label clean.

Apply Pesticides

• Wear suitable protective clothing. 
• Don't spray if it is windy.
• Don't smoke, drink or eat while spraying.

Cleaning Up

• Wash the sprayer out each day.
• Dispose of any excess spray safely.
• Wear protective clothing while cleaning up.

Turf Fungicide Groups Subject to Resistance Problems

If a pathogen develops resistance to one fungicide in a group then it may become resistant to other products within that group. This is called 'cross resistance'. The recommendation would be to alternate between the different groups and only alternate between different sub groups (e.g. with DMI's) where there is no other choice.
