Titirangi Golf Club – Assistant Greenkeeper
Titirangi Golf Club is situated in west Auckland and an opportunity has arisen to join our turf management team. Titirangi is New Zealand’s only Alistair McKenzie designed golf course and is consistently ranked in the country's top 10 rated golf courses. The club is continually improving playing conditions through course development projects and course maintenance practices.
The role would suit a self-motivated individual that is interested and enthusiastic about turf management. The successful applicant will have an understanding of the game of golf and be hardworking with attention to detail. There is scope in the position for the right candidate to progress into training towards the National Certificate in sports turf management.
This is a fulltime hands-on role which includes weekend work on a roster basis to complete course maintenance.
Ideal Skill Criteria:
· Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
· Physically fit to carry out manual handling tasks
· Previous golf course machinery experience preferred but not essential
· Honest and reliable with good communication skills
· Understanding of workplace health & safety requirements and reporting
· A team player that works well with others and on their own

Coringa Golf Club - Greens Keeper Assistant (Oct '19 - April '20)
The Coringa Golf Course was established in 1969 and is celebrating its 50th year Jubilee this year.
Set in a semi-rural environment, the Coringa golf course is an 18 hole championship course with a range in tees which will challenge all golfers.
The club has a variety of facilities available to members and visitors including café, bar and driving range.
The Club is looking for a Greens Keeper assistant to support the existing full time team of two over the peak spring and summer periods.
Job duties and Work Hours:
The job duties entail:
· Assisting with course set-up.
· Mowing greens, tees, fairways and rough.
· Bunker maintenance.
· All other tasks associated with golf course maintenance and golf course landscape work.
The role is for the period 1st October 2019 to 30th April 2020. Normal work hours are weekdays 7am to 3.30 pm (with tea and lunch breaks). Average 40 hours per week.
$18.00 per hour
· Must be physically fit with a strong work ethic.
· Previous experience operating mowing equipment preferred.
· Experience on a golf course would be ideal.

NELMAC - GROUNDSPERSON
We are seeking an enthusiastic Groundsperson to work at various sites maintained by Nelmac in the Nelson / Tasman region of New Zealand. This role will require you to have knowledge in sports ground maintenance along with other turf areas. You will also be required to undertake other maintenance activities as required. Along with your genuine interest in sport and turf management, you will be serious about delivering excellent customer service to enhance our reputation with current and future clients and enjoy being a positive and active team player.
To be successful in this role you will have a qualification in Sports Turf Management (or studying towards the qualification and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Sports Turf Management. A Growsafe certificate is preferred and you will need to have a good mechanical and adaptable aptitude to meet the needs of the business. It is important that you have excellent time management and organisational skills, and a willingness to be part of a team and learn new skills but also able to work completely independently. A sound understanding of and commitment to Health and Safety is a requirement to keep you and your team safe.
Current full drivers licence is required (WTR endorsed preferred, or training will be provided if required)

Gore Golf Club - Greenkeeper Required
The Gore Golf Club is seeking a either a skilled labourer or qualified greenkeeper.
The Gore Golf Club (Croydon links) was established in 1931. The 18 hole parkland course is relatively flat, and only 3km from the centre of Gore. The Club is justifiably proud of its facilities and reputation as one of the best 18 hole layout’s in the lower South Island.
To join the exciting times at the Gore Golf Club, applicants require (but not limited to) the following key attributes:
· Knowledge of operation of Golf Course machinery.
· Experience in chemical application using boom sprayers and knapsacks.
· A keen eye for detail and a passion for course presentation.
· Ability to identify hazards and problems and communicate efficiently with work colleagues.
· Be punctual, well presented and professional at all times.
· Work well unsupervised but also as part of a team.
· Willing to work flexible hours.
· Have a valid NZ driving license.
· Be eligible to work in New Zealand.
Prior golf course experience and knowledge of golf is favourable, but not essential.

Bottle Lake Golf Club is situated on the east side of Christchurch and is an 18 Hole course, boarding the Bottle Lake Forrest Park. The Bottle Lake Golf Club, in an established Club with over 79 years of history.
We have the position of Green’s Superintendent available for the right person. Are you currently in the industry and have the equivalent status of a Second In Charge or greater and are looking for a new opportunity? As this is a managerial role but you will be required to be fully active in the day to day running of the Course.
This person would need to have Turf Qualifications Level 4, including a Growsafe Certificate, experience on a golf course & irrigation and be confident in operating golf specific turf equipment.
With only a small Course Maintenance Team, the ability to prioritise and organise your workload, problem solve, the willingness to be involved in all aspects of Course maintenance, with good practical skills, with a sense of humour , along with a clean driver's licence is a must for this position.
