Skilled General Worker - Golf Course Maintenance Team

Remuera Golf Club (RGC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for a permanent, full time Skilled General Worker on our golf course maintenance team.

RGC is an 18-hole golf club situated within the eastern suburbs of Auckland. The Club is home to 1500 members and the course attracts approximately 55,000 rounds per annum. RGC is two thirds through a course redevelopment plan which includes the reconstruction of new greens and tees to modern day standards and design. This is in conjunction with other Club improvements which are all focused on RGC becoming the ‘golf club destination of choice’. The Club has also recently become the first New Zealand golf club to achieve GEO Certification (Golf Environment Organisation) demonstrating our commitment to sustainability and the environment.

Assistant Turf Manager

FMG Stadium Waikato and Seddon Park are two of New Zealand's finest sporting venues and high-profile public assets owned by the people of Hamilton.

These world-class facilities are operated by H3, a division of Hamilton City Council, and regularly host national and international sporting events featuring some of the codes’ best athletes.

We have an opportunity as an Assistant Turf Manager – a role in which you will be responsible for leading members of the Turf Team who are responsible for managing the playing surfaces at FMG Stadium Waikato and our other venues.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate both leadership and turf management skills. Your turf experience will include preparing international and domestic rugby turf surfaces, maintaining a sand turf profile outfield along with the preparation and application of agrichemicals. In addition, you will need a clean NZ driver's license and a sports turf qualification.

The nature of our business means there are some long days on the job, and you'll need to demonstrate the flexibility needed to meet the requirements of the events we host, including being available to work Monday to Sunday as rostered.

We deliver high-profile international events, broadcast around the world, so your work is vital to how Hamilton and its venues are presented on the global stage – so it's an exciting time to be joining our team. We have a busy season ahead of us in Hamilton, with plenty of international and domestic sport plus many events at FMG Stadium Waikato. We are replacing our turf at the end of this year, and our successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring this exciting project delivers world-class turf.

Greenkeeper - Hagley Golf Club

Hagley Golf Club in the heart of Christchurch, Canterbury, is currently looking for an enthusiastic, confident, and self-motivated Greenkeeper.

The successful applicant will have an understanding of the game of golf and be hardworking with attention to detail. We are looking for an individual looking to continue improving this 18 hole golf course (14 physical holes). We have recently renewed several machines.

It is a sole charge position but you will work with enthusiastic volunteers who want to continue to provide a city course in the heart of Christchurch that has been here since 1873.

The successful applicant will work with the Course committee to manage and present the course at its best.

Applications are invited for the position of Greenkeeper at the Hikurangi Golf Club, an 18 hole country course situated in Marua Road, Hikurangi, Northland.

Escape the rat race to the winterless north. This is a sole charge position supported by club volunteers on undulating terrain with soil greens.

The club is prepared to consider all applications from experienced golf course greenkeepers with negotiable hours to suit the selected candidate, but some weekend work will be required. It is anticipated that the selected applicant would commence work in the new year on a mutually convenient date.
