1) Qualified Greenkeeper – Full Time
You’ll:
Lead daily course preparation and surface quality (mowing, set-up).
Undertake irrigation repairs/maintenance, spraying, and pest management.
Mentor junior/seasonal staff.
Play a key role in our major drainage design & installation project.
You bring:
Sports turf qualification or strong golf course experience.
Sound technical skills; great communication and time-management.
Flexibility for early starts/weekends; full driver licence.

As the Head Mechanic you will diagnose, service and repair our fleet of small and large turf machinery, tractors, and vehicles, ensure the workshop is run effectively & efficiently, maintain detailed records of work and inventory, ensure safety standards & processes are adhered to.
This role suits a self-motivated individual who is experienced with petrol and diesel engines and previous work with turf & farm machinery is a bonus. Engineering skills are also a big plus! A positive attitude and great work ethic is essential.

Roehampton Club (UK) - Greenkeeper
Greenkeeper:
Reporting to Head Greenkeeper
Full Time Contract
Salary: £27,352 - £30,620
Job Purpose:
Based on a 40 hour working week and weekends on a rota basis.
To assist in the daily operations of the Golf Course by ensuring the efficient preparation of the course.
Key Responsibilities:
To undertake daily turf maintenance and preparation of the course,
skillfully operating pedestrian and ride on machinery to maintain the course to the best possible standards of presentation.To assist in course construction whilst establishing and maintaining plants.
To be able to identify different types of grasses, turf pests, diseases and plants.
To be able to work on your own as well as part of a team.
To actively contribute to departmental meetings.
To maintain healthy and safe working practices at all times.
To establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, colleagues and members.
Whilst full training will be given, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and competencies:
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Sports Turf Maintenance.
A keen eye for detail and a passion for Greenkeeping.
Experience of ‘high end’ clubs and tournament support.
Good communication skills.
Knowledge/experience of construction projects.
Trained first aider.
Tractor driving.
The ability to play golf to a reasonable standard.
Be a team player and the willingness to go ’the extra mile’.

The Hills Limited is seeking a suitably qualified person to fill the role of Irrigation Technician to join us for our upcoming course renovation and expansion.
The Irrigation Technician is required to perform a wide range of duties on the golf course and surrounding areas including maintenance tasks as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent.
Duties will include:
Irrigation system use and maintenance
Checking moisture levels daily during periods of heat stress
Liaise with management in the setting of nightly irrigation
Direct other staff on areas to be hand watered
Fix breaks of the system hardware in a timely fashion
General golf course maintenance tasks
Any other duties as deemed necessary for the successful operation and upkeep of the irrigation systems and the golf course
Key Skills and Knowledge:
A good level of fitness is required
Reliability and being able to work as part of a team
Strong work ethic and resilience
Good practical skills, and turf (or similar relevant) qualification or experience equivalent to level 4 or above. Or on the job experience either internationally or locally (or a combination of both) of 3 years
Ability to quickly learn new skills
Ability to relate well with a diverse range of people
