About the Role
This is a full-time leadership position for someone who enjoys being actively involved on the course while leading a small, capable team. Reporting to the General Manager and Board, you will oversee all aspects of course maintenance and development, supported by an experienced 2IC and qualified Greenkeeper.
Key responsibilities include:
Course presentation and daily maintenance
Turf, soil and agronomic management
Staff leadership and volunteer coordination
Machinery operation and maintenance planning
Irrigation and water management
Budgeting, planning and contractor management

About You
You will bring:
NZ Turf qualification (minimum Level 3 Sports Turf Management)
GROWSAFE certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong knowledge of turf management, golf course presentation, and agrichemical application
Experience managing machinery and maintaining high-quality playing surfaces
Leadership experience with small teams and volunteers
Good planning, budgeting and communication skills
A proactive, practical, and collaborative approach
Full New Zealand driver's licence
Preferred:

Te Marua Golf Club - Head Greenkeeper
Te Marua Golf club is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Greenkeeper to work and continue the fantastic work our current tight knit team are doing with our picturesque course, one of the best in Wellington. All applicants of this role will be considered for the position of Head Greenkeeper.
About the Role:
Initially reporting to the current Head Greenkeeper, and taking over when Head Greenkeeper retires, you will be involved in all aspects of course and greens maintenance, including machinery operation and routine equipment servicing.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with seasonal variations and rostered weekend work required from time to time.
Requirements:

Hold a turf qualification (completed or working towards) or have relevant practical experience including relevant spraying expertise

Garden Maintenance Operations Manager
Groundswell Landscapes is offering an outstanding senior leadership opportunity for an experienced horticultural professional to take ownership of our garden maintenance division during an exciting period of growth.
This is a key leadership role within the business, responsible for driving the performance, growth and ongoing development of our high-end maintenance operations across both Queenstown and Wānaka. The successful candidate will play a major role in shaping the future of the division through team leadership, client relationship management, business development, quoting and pricing, customer service, and the continual improvement of systems and processes.
The role is approximately a 50/50 split between hands-on gardening work and operational management. You will spend part of your time working alongside the team on-site, delivering exceptional horticultural outcomes, and part of your time managing the business side of the operation, including planning and scheduling, client communication, reporting, logistics, quoting, sales opportunities, team management, and administration.
Based predominantly in Queenstown, you will lead a skilled maintenance team caring for some of the region's most prestigious residential properties throughout both Queenstown and Wānaka. This includes overseeing the planning, delivery and quality of maintenance services across all properties, while ensuring exceptional client relationships and outcomes.
This role requires someone who is equally comfortable on the tools, in front of clients, on the phone, and behind a computer managing the day-to-day operations of a growing division.

This role supports the existing Greenkeeper in being responsible for the maintenance, care and overall appearance of the Taieri Lakes Golf Course. Marton Golf Club Course Superintendent
Marton Golf Club is in the heart of the Rangitikei.
The course is set on gentle rolling dune country and operates in a rural environment close to the towns of Marton and Bulls, and 20-30 minutes from Palmerston North and Whanganui. The course is an 18 hole, par 72 parkland layout, developed in the 1950s.
The course is irrigated supporting consistent fairway and green conditions throughout the year. The club operates with a strong community focus.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum – recognized turf qualification - NZAHS (Sports Turf) Level 4
Experience with irrigation systems, spraying, machinery operation and maintenance, turf agronomy, and pest management.

Key Responsibilities

This is a sole charge full time position. The successful applicant will report directly to the club President and will manage the course in conjunction with the Course Committee maintaining the course, plant and equipment.

Recognised NZ Turf Qualification. Minimum of Certificate in Sports Turf Management Level 3.
Have a good understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace environment.

Waiheke Golf Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Golf Course Superintendent to lead the presentation, maintenance, and ongoing development of our unique island course. With our long‑serving Superintendent retiring 31 March 2027 we are starting the search now to secure the right person to fill this unique role. There will be a planned 2-to-3-month transition to ensure continuity is maintained for our members and the new Course Superintendent is well established in both the new role and lifestyle on the Island. Role Overview

The Course Superintendent is expected to manage day to day operations working largely autonomously keeping the committee informed regularly on progress against plans. You will be supported with the Course Committee and Club leadership to ensure high‑quality playing surfaces year‑round, members expectations are being met and long‑term course aspirations are being advanced.
